How To Slow Down Skin Aging Process

There is nothing that can be done to stop aging. However, there are a couple of things that you can do to slow down the aging process. Below are five tips that will help keep you healthy and feeling young:

Eat Lots of Fruits And Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are filled with antioxidants. Antioxidants are nutrients that help the body get rid of free radicals. Free radicals are compounds that can cause aging and a number of other health problems. Eating fruits and vegetables can also help prevent weight gain. Furthermore, antioxidants can help prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
You should try to get at least five servings of fruits and vegetables every day. If you have at least one fruit and one vegetable with every meal, then it will be very easy for you to get the recommended servings of fruits and vegetables.

Exercise

Regular exercise can help preserve your memory and boost your immune system. It can also help prevent heart disease and keep your blood sugar within a healthy range. You do not have to spend several hours at the gym every day to get a sufficient amount of exercise. You can reap huge health benefits by engaging in just 30 minutes of exercise per day. However, it is very important for you to make sure that you perform a variety of exercises.

Manage Your Stress

Your job, family and other obligations are things that can cause you to feel stressed, but it is very important for you to make sure that you keep your stress under control. Chronic stress can accelerate the aging process. It can also make you more susceptible to becoming obese and developing heart disease. You should take a couple of minutes out of each day to relax and de-stress. Yoga, meditation and reading a book are some of the things that you can do to reduce your stress.

Get An Adequate Amount of Sleep Every Night

Adults need at least seven hours of sleep per night. It is sometimes difficult to get adequate amounts of sleep, but you should try your best to go to bed at a reasonable time every night. Sleep deprived people have a tendency to age faster. They are also at an increased risk for having a heart attack or stroke. Getting an adequate amount of sleep can reduce your stress and improve your concentration.

Reduce Your Exposure to The Sun

You need to spend about 15 minutes in the sun every day. The light from the sun helps the body produce vitamin D. However, excessive sun exposure can cause your body to age prematurely. It can also put you at risk for developing skin cancer, which is the most common type of cancer in America. That is why you will need to limit the amount of time that you spend in the sun. If you have to spend a lot of time in the sun, then you will need to wear sunscreen.
