How to Brighten Your Tired and Dull Skin

Today we live in a very fast moving environment. People work hard to keep up with the fast pace of everything around them, therefore, they get a very little time to look after themselves. This neglect can reflect badly specially on your skin. Skin care is very important and it requires time. As you get older, there are so many different causes that can damage your skin. It’s best to take good care of your skin when you are young; as it will help you look good even in old age. Our face is the first thing that people notice so having a dull skin can make us a little self-conscious and shy.

Causes of tired and dull skin
There are many reasons that make the skin look dull and tired. Following are the major causes that can be very harmful to your skin.

Pollution
Pollution, one of the main drawbacks of technological advancement, is extremely harmful to our skin. There are so many vehicles and factories that pollute the air in different ways, which is never good news for our skin. It’s best to keep your skin well protected and make sure you do regular skin cleansing.

Aging
Aging is another cause of skin dullness. As we age, our skin is affected in many ways. We cannot get rid of aging, but its affects on skin can be controlled if it is properly protected.

Routine
Our routine also affects how our skin looks, for example, sleep deprived people tend to have a dull skin as compared to those who make sure they sleep at least 8 hours at night. Taking a lot of stress also leads to skin damage; stress also causes wrinkles and dark circles. So, its best that we get proper rest during 24 hours, try not to get tense about every little thing and keep the body relaxed by spending some time in recreation.

Makeup
Makeup is another cause of damaged skin. People who use a lot of makeup rarely have a bright and glowing skin; they often are forgetful or careless about taking their makeup off properly, which can easily damage the skin.

Cleanliness
Keeping the skin dirty can lead to skin dullness as well. There is always dirt outside, so it’s best to wash your face twice or thrice a day to keep the dirt off your skin.

Exposure to sunlight
Sunlight has many harmful radiations that can adversely affect your skin. Due to ozone depletion, some of the radiations from the sun are now entering the atmosphere, which are not very skin friendly. So, it’s best to keep the skin protected from exposure to sunlight, always wear a sun block when you go out.

Top ways to brighten your dull skin
Fortunately, all the adverse reactions of different things on your skin can be handled by following some very simple rules.

Water intake
Water has many plus points and helps us in so many different ways. There are certain elements of water that keep your body healthy, including your skin. When your body is dehydrated from hot weather or heavy exercise, your skin starts to look very dull; you can counter this issue by increasing your daily intake of water. People who take excessive coffee or sugar must drink a lot of water as well, because every cup of coffee you take results in water consumption in your body. In order to keep yourself and your skin dehydrated, it is highly recommended that you drink at least eight glasses of water a day, but in hotter areas it is suggested that people increase their water intake even more.

Prevent sun exposure
Sun exposure is one of the main causes of skin dullness. People find sunlight to be very pleasant at times and they think getting a tan would make them look good but, they don’t realize that high exposure to sunlight can be extremely harmful to their skin in the long run. Sunlight has different rays that damage our skin in various ways. It accelerates the process of aging. In the long run, the UV rays from sunlight damage the fibers in your skin which makes it look dull and tired. You cannot stay away from sunlight so; it is highly recommended that you make good use of sunscreen. Sunscreen protects you from negative effects of sunlight and also allows you to get vitamin D which is good for your body.

Healthy diet
Healthy diet can prove to be very helpful in having a glowing skin, it actually can make a huge difference. Fruits and vegetables have always been very useful in skincare, they make your blood thin which keeps the skin fresh and glowing at all times. Vitamin C is best for a healthy skin, so it is recommended that you increase the supply of vitamin C in our body. Here is the list of foods that can help in keeping the skin fresh 1. Tomatoes 2. Green tea 3. Berries 4. Sea food 5. Brown rice 6. Oranges 7. Broccoli 8. Lemonade

Proper sleep
Lack of sleep can dramatically change the way your skin looks; it literally takes away your glow. Your body needs to rest properly to perform 100% and similarly your skin needs the body to rest in order to look good. The recommended sleep hours should be at least 8, without any disturbance and at night. This keeps you away from many skin problems including dark circles. Dark circles are very hard to get rid of, so it’s best that you make sure of getting proper sleep.

Use of night cream
Washing your face at night is highly recommended as it cleans all the dirt off the face. Face wash can make the skin extremely dry; therefore, using a night cream, before going to bed, makes the skin soft and fresh by keeping it moisturized. Dry skin is one of the main causes of wrinkles too, so a night cream is a must. Having a younger looking skin is what everybody wants. These steps are the key to having a glowing and fresh skin and they also decelerate the aging process and make you feel good about yourself.

5 Things Never To Say To A Menopausal Woman

Hormones are wondrous things. They control our sexual desires, our body temperature, our moods. And when a woman is in menopause, they control pretty everything else too, right down to the chin hairs that sprout on her face seemingly overnight. Women in menopause can be testier, easier to bring to tears or anger and more forgetful than ever before in their lives. Here are five things that you should probably never say to them:

Menopause
1. "What does a hot flash feel like?"
Since the mere mention of a hot flash frequently serves as a trigger for one to occur, we suggest you refrain from asking this question. But for those who insist on knowing, the expression "sweating like a pig" probably best describes it -- although we know of no research to suggest that pigs actually sweat as much as a menopausal woman does. A hot flash is a sudden surge in skin temperature that causes rivers of perspiration to gush down your forehead, breasts and back. Clothing sticks to the body and effort must be made to refrain from disrobing completely in public or demanding that the butcher allow you to stand in his meat freezer with the other carcasses who are dead or wish they were dead. A hot flash can and is most likely to strike at the most inopportune moments, including but not limited to: when your mate feels romantic and thinks touching you might be fun; when your 30-something boss stops by your desk for a friendly chat; in the middle of the night, just after you showered and changed the sheets from the previous hot flash, which occurred 30 minutes earlier.

2. "Isn't there something you can take for that?"
Really? You think? Damn, why didn't I think of that! Suggesting to a menopausal woman that she simply hasn't fully explored every possible hot flash remedy is an invitation for mayhem to be inflicted on your head. Almost 75 percent of American women suffer from hot flashes and night sweats during menopause, according to MenopauseChitChat.com. Every possible remedy has been discussed and tried in order of escalating seriousness.

Hormone replacement therapy, of course, remains the big gun when it comes to shooting down hot flashes, and trust us, nobody turns to hormones lightly. Aside from the fact that whenever you do decide to go off them, your symptoms will return, hormone replacement therapy has been marred with controversy. The NIH cautions that "[hormone replacement therapy] can increase your risk of breast cancer, heart disease and stroke." We'd add that millions of women take them because they work. Within weeks, sometimes just days, night sweats and hot flashes all but evaporate.

3. "You aren't old enough to be in menopause."
If this is meant to be a compliment, it is one rooted in ignorance. While the average age of the onset of menopause is 51, it can start much sooner than that for some women. Certain medical treatments push women in to early menopause as well. And while perhaps what you were trying to say is "You don't look like you are 51, which I know to be the average age of menopause," that just isn't going to be what is heard. Try instead, "You look really nice in blue (or whatever color she is wearing at the moment)."

4. "Can you turn down the air conditioning?"
No, she cannot, will not, shall not. It is akin to asking her to self-mutilate. You, on the other hand, may add another sweater, scarf and gloves to your summer office outfit. A menopausal woman only has so many layers she can take off without pushing the office dress code to the limit.

5. "Did you remember to...?"
Take this one to the bank: No, she did not remember it -- whatever it was. Days of the week, names, why she walked into the kitchen -- none of it. Weekends always have a distinctive feel to them. But Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays do not. Do not expect a menopausal woman to remember any meeting that is scheduled for mid-week; it just won't happen. Asked to wear a name tag at a meeting? It was probably the idea of a menopausal woman. In fact, if you wanted to be really helpful, you would wear a name tag pretty much every time you walked up to her -- that or accept being addressed as "Hon" all the time.

Documentation of memory loss as a symptoms of menopause is fairly new. A study published in the journal Menopause said that women who had the most -- and the most intense -- hot flashes also experienced the most severe memory issues.

Things That Can Ruin Your Smile

When it comes to maintaining good dental health, we’ve all been told many do’s and don’t’s. These include being cautioned about drinking coffee and soft drinks and being encouraged to brush after every meal. However, there are many unexpected culprits that can also contribute to ruining the health of your teeth.

Sports Drinks

Sports drinks may be a refreshing way to rehydrate, but they can cause serious problems for the health of your teeth. Tooth erosion can be caused by the high concentration of acidic components in these drinks. They are often high in sugars as well. Acid-producing bacteria feed on these sugars and builds up in the cracks of your teeth causing tooth decay and cavities.

Bottled Water

First sports drinks and now water? Well, if you decided to stay away from sports drinks and stick to water instead, you haven’t cleared the air yet. Tap water contains fluoride which helps strengthen the enamel of your teeth – preventing decay. However, most bottled waters contain significantly less fluoride considered necessary for good oral health. A healthy alternative is to buy a reusable water bottle and refill it from the tap.

Birth Control Pills

Pregnancy can cause many changes in the body and the gums are no exception. Surges in estrogen and progesterone can cause inflammation of the gums. This may lead to gingivitis and infection. Because oral contraceptives mimic pregnancy, they can also cause the same damaging results. If that isn’t bad enough, women who use birth control may also have more trouble healing after having a tooth pulled and are more likely to develop painful dry sockets.

Dry Mouth

Aside from being irritating, dry mouth is also very bad for your teeth. Saliva washes away bacteria and harmful acids that can live in your mouth. Without saliva, the health of your teeth can deteriorate much faster. Drink lots of water and use fluoride toothpaste to counter these effects. If the dry mouth becomes a serious problem you should consult a doctor.

Diet Pills

Diet pills not only decrease your waste size, they decrease salivary flow as well. This leads to dry mouth which, as just explained, puts you at risk for tooth decay and cavities. Try a balanced and healthy diet along with exercise to lose weight instead. Not only is this healthier and more long-lasting option for losing weight, it’s healthier for your teeth as well.

Brushing at the Wrong Time

It would seem that frequently brushing our teeth would be good for them wouldn’t it? Actually, the answer is no. Although we’ve been taught that brushing our teeth after every meal is crucial for a healthy smile, it really depends on what you’re been eating.

Brushing your teeth immediately after consuming acidic foods and drinks (wine, coffee and soft drinks) can actually cause tooth erosion. Instead, rinse your mouth with water and wait at least an hour before brushing with toothpaste. 6 Unhealthy Habits You Need to Quit

Healthy people worked hard to make their bodies in tip-top form. They often watch what they eat and keep their bodies moving. Not only that they are not too keen on doing things that can damage the body. There are just habits that healthy people will never do. If you are looking to improve your health it pays to learn from healthy people. Here are some of the habits that you may be doing right now that healthy people don’t.

Skipping Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is the foundation that will fuel the body’s foray for the rest of the day. When the body wakes up from its nightly fast, the body needs to get enough energy to spring back to life. When you are too anxious to get to work fast to avoid getting late it is easy to neglect breakfast. Skipping breakfast drains the body with energy and causes the metabolism to go haywire. This will impact the body’s ability to burn calories which is not exactly good when you are trying to lose some weight. That is why most diet experts always tell dieters that skipping breakfast can do more harm than good. The trick is to eat smart and never skip the most important meal of the day.

Lack of Water
The human body is 60 percent composed of water. It comes as no surprise why water provides a lot of health benefits. When the body is hydrated it keeps the memory sharp, the mood stable and the risks of getting anxiety symptoms reduced. Water also makes the skin glowing and suppler. Water helps the body to eliminate the toxins that often cause a lot of diseases. Healthy people know that they need to drink at least nine to eleven glasses of water per day. The amount of water that a person needs to drink depends on the amount of activity and the temperature. Hot temperature can cause excessive sweating which zaps the body’s water reserves that can cause dehydration which is unhealthy.

Late night Eating
Those who have the habit of eating dinner early and fasted have greater chances of losing weight compared to those who eat late in the night and did not fast, at least it works for mice. Mice that even ate fatty foods lost more calories as long as they ate their dinner early and fasted. Scientists believe that the longer span between meals leads to better processing of the food. Eating late meals can cause indigestion which can lead to sleep interference which impacts the quality of sleep.

Lack of Exercise
The fact remains that all healthy people exercise regularly. Aside from weight loss and reducing anxiety symptoms, regular exercise offers other benefits for better health. Exercise can actually add more years to one’s life. Not only that, exercise can prevent certain chronic diseases which also keeps the heart healthy. Exercise lowers the risk of certain cancers including prostate and breast cancer. Unhealthy people are not in the habit of doing regular exercise. In order to maintain in tip top shape it is best to do at least 150 minutes of exercise per week or about 30 minutes per day most days in a week.

Eating too much Salt
Healthy people know that they should be keeping their sodium intake about 1,200 mg per day. Habitual fast food snacking which is loaded with sodium is something a healthy person would not do. Cutting sodium in the diet can actually improve the health and add more years to life. Healthy people often cut their sodium intake by eating fresh food and by preparing nutritious meals at home.

Not changing the Sink Sponge
This could not be ranking at the top of your priorities but healthy people often change their sponge on a regular basis. The kitchen sink sponge holds more bacteria compared to your own toothbrush. Gross? Yes, gross. Think of it as one sure way of getting sick. The sponge should be replaced at least every two weeks.

There are things that healthy people would be doing that an unhealthy one will never bother. If you want to maintain perfect health, take a look at what you are doing today and find out how it contributes to health whether good or bad. What Is Male Menopause: Facts, Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatments

What is Male Menopause?

An increasing number of men are having concerns about a decline in hormones during mid-life, as a result the words “andropause” and “male menopause” are starting to be seen everywhere. It used to be called a “mid-life crisis”. A more accurate label is the term male menopause, for the sometimes distressful and very real condition. Men are relieved that it is no longer called a silly crisis; there are a number of reasons for the decline that occur mid-life.
Male Menopause
Some physicians refer to the problem as testosterone or androgen decline in men as they are aging since there is not a period that is well defined and referred to as menopause.  It is also known as low testosterone. The production of testosterone declines as men begin aging but diabetes and other conditions can cause the decline in the male hormone production.
The decline in testosterone that is experienced, can come with some symptoms including:
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Sexual problems
  • Weakness
The difference from female menopause is that the decline in testosterone that men experience happens slowly. In women the production of hormones stops completely. The substance that is needed to produce testosterone is not depleted entirely from the testes, unlike with the ovaries. Men that are healthy could be able to produce sperm well past their eighties.

Testosterone Decrease with Age

There may be subtle changes that occur in the testes from the ages of forty-five to fifty years of age, and after the age of seventy some men may experience dramatic changes.

How Is Male Menopause Diagnosed?

There are some things that the doctor will do to diagnose male menopause.
  • Question you about symptoms
  • A physical exam will be performed
  • Rule out medical problems that could contribute to the condition by ordering tests
  • Order blood tests. These tests may involve measuring testosterone levels.

Can Male Menopause Be Treated?

Testosterone replacement therapy might provide some relief to the symptoms of low levels of testosterone.
  • Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Decreased libido (loss of interest in sex)
  • Morning erections decrease
  • Sexual intercourse frequency declines
  • Testicular and genital size decreases
  • Body fat increases
  • Memory loss
  • Changes in mood
  • Vagueness
  • Gynaecomastia (enlarged nipples)
There is the potential for side effects and risks with testosterone replacement therapy just like there is with the therapy for replacing hormones in women. An example would be that prostate cancer could be made worse by the testosterone replacement.
Speak with a doctor to learn more when considering replacement therapy for androgen. There may be lifestyle or other changes recommended by your doctor to aid with the male menopause symptoms. These could include:
  • Antidepressant or other medications
  • Diet
  • Program for exercise

Alternative Male Menopause Treatments

  • Vitamin C
  • Zinc
  • Exercise
  • Multi-mineral supplement
  • Multi-vitamin supplement
  • Soy
  • Vegetables that contain indole- (brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage)
  • Ayurvedic herbal remedies
  • Grapefruit should be avoided
  • Alcohol should be avoided
  • Ayurvedic dietary changes
Before you use a complementary or alternative treatment, or make changes or stop any treatment in favor of alternative approaches, you should check with your doctor or another qualified medical professional. In some cases, alternative treatments can pose a danger while in others the preventives or treatments might be useful.

Boost Your Metabolism with Detox Drink

As we get older, our metabolism gets slower. Fact is, studies have shown that metabolism naturally slows about 5% per decade after the age of 40.
What is metabolism anyway? Metabolism, involves a complex network of hormones and enzymes that work together to convert the food we eat into energy so our bodies can function. The more efficient our metabolism, the better our bodies work in burning calories and the more fit we become.
The conclusion is to keep your metabolism revved. Keep a healthy diet of low calorie – high protein foods, exercise and build muscle if you can, stay active, detox every once in a while and of course hydrate.

Detox Diet
Speaking of the latter, Detox works by jump starting your metabolism, a lot like a cleaning up your hard drive and reformatting your computer. Furthermore, the other important thing not to forget to do is to HYDRATE. And when you are hydrating it is important to do so with liquids that are enriched with the essential vitamins and minerals such as the drink below.

This drink is enriched with Cucumbers, Mint and Lemon.

Cucumbers are low in calories, with only 45 calories with the skin on. High in fiber and in vitamins C, K and A. It is rich in Potassium, Iron, and Calcium. It is also a diuretic, which keeps you from holding in water weight and flushing out unwanted toxins.

Lemons, aside from being naturally energizing, are excellent at hydrating, detoxifying, and oxygenating your system. It keeps your Ph in balance and your skin clearer. It is also good for your digestive system.
Lemons are also high in Calcium, Vitamin C, and potassium.

Mint freshens your breath! It cleanses the stomach lining while soothing the digestive tract and reducing irritated bowel syndrome. It aids in eliminating toxins from the body while cleaning out blood vessels as well.
You will need:
  • Lemon
  • 1/2 a cucumber
  • a handful of fresh mint leaves
1. Slice the cucumber and lemons thinly. Keep in mind that the more slices you cut the more flavor you will be getting out of it.
2. Grab the handful of fresh mint.
3. Throw them all into a gallon of water and let sit over night (about 8 hours) for it to soak up all the vitamins and minerals.
4. Wake up and drink your detoxifying concoction throughout the day!

Breast Enhancement: Improve Your Life

Breast enhancement procedures help boost self-confidence and improve your appearance. It is important to be realistic when considering breast enhancements; you need to carefully consider your expectations and discuss them with your doctor. When you get breast enhancements, your doctor will guide you through the best enhancement methods that give you the results you want.

What are the benefits of Breast Enhancements?

You Look Better

A breast enhancement procedure enhances your figure and shapes your bust. When you get a procedure done, you balance your figure and you look curvier. If your body is lacking definition, a breast enhancement procedure can add curves and increase attractiveness.

If you have been pregnant in the past, you may notice that your breasts aren't the same. Breast enhancements are a perfect way to reshape your breasts so they look like they did before your pregnancy. As women get older, their breasts tend to sag. Breast enhancements can give your breasts a youthful appearance.

Breast enhancements help women who have suffered through a mastectomy. They are used to reshape your bust and restore it to the same size and shape it was before your procedure.

More Confidence

When your breasts don't look as good as you would like, it is very common to feel inadequate and depressed. This can lead to constant negative feelings that ruin your self-confidence. When you get breast enhancements, these feelings tend to go away. Imagine how much more confident you would be with a contoured body and youthful bust.

Women who get breast enhancements often report a boost to their self-confidence and body image. This is extremely helpful for people who are suffering from self-esteem issues due to their body shape. Breast enhancements are a great way to bring back your youthful vibrancy.

Stylish Clothing Options

When you get breast enhancements, you open yourself up to a world of stylish clothing that fits and looks better. When you have a full bust, clothes tends to compliment your curves instead of making you look frumpy. A great bust line means that clothes will look more striking and expressive on your frame.

Dresses, swimsuits and even plain shirts look great on a woman with a defined bust. It is not uncommon for women to bring clothes to their doctor's office to help them figure out what they will look good in. Your doctor will appreciate this; it helps guide them towards the right shape and size for your bust.

The best way to go about getting breast enhancements is to consult with a reputable doctor. A good doctor can help guide you through the procedure. They make sure that all their patients are knowledgeable about all of their options. There are different procedures; what works for you is highly dependent on your body type and the results you are looking for.

When you choose breast enhancements, you physically and mentally improve yourself. Patients who are happy with their appearance tend to be happier with their lives. Find a qualified surgeon and they will help you select the perfect procedure to meet your needs.

Women Skincare Tips

Five Reasons Why Women Should Take Skincare Seriously
Women have to be very conscious about their skin. Most women believe that the first impression is the last impression. Not all women are blessed with the perfect facial features, perfect built or the perfect complexion. In such cases, taking care of the skin becomes all the more important. When you take proper care of your skin, your skin will have a natural glow. This will automatically add up to your overall personality. Women from all age groups are very conscious about how their skin looks and feels.
Skin is a very important organ of your body. Different women have different skin types, colors, and textures. Each skin type has it own traits and flaws. Nevertheless, all skin types are equally good and completely manageable.

Look and feel of your skin
When your skin is clean, it has a soft texture and it glows naturally. You should be concerned not only about your facial skin, but also about the skin all over your body. Taking care of your skin is all about keeping your skin clean, healthy, and soft.

Health perspective
Taking good care of your skin will no doubt, make you look younger and beautiful. With time, you will realize that it also makes your skin healthy and contributes to your overall health. Clean skin protects your body from outside agents and infections that can harm your internal organs. It does not allow germs to enter your system.

Psychological perspective
When your skin looks good, it will improve your overall appearance. In turn, this will increase your self-esteem. Instead of holding back in life, you will feel more motivated and you will have an outwardly approach. You will not hesitate in interacting with people.
When you have fought through hormonal acne, rosacea, or wrinkles, you will experience an increase in the level of your self-confidence. You will be willing to be an extrovert and take up challenging assignments.

Aging perspective
Your skin is the first organ that starts showing signs of aging. You need to understand your skin type and take good care of your skin accordingly. Your skin requires a lot of pampering. You need to clean it and moisturize it. When your skin lacks moisture, it will appear dry and withered. It will lack luster, suppleness and start showing signs of aging.

Overall Perspective
If you are conscious about your overall health and overall appearance, you must take care of your skin. The Skin is also a very vital organ of your body. It cannot be replaced. Once damaged, the skin can only be repaired. The damage can be minimized but cannot be undone. Therefore, it is important that you do all that you can for keeping your skin clean. Grace likes to buy cosmetics online and recommends http://www.ozcosmetics.co.uk to all her readers.

This must be the pet peeve of all men on the planet. It is the number one thing that men complain about when they get together in bars. It is embarrassing, going out with a woman who looks like she has just come back from a clown convention. Not to mention that most men figure that a woman must be really desperate if she feels the need to paint herself up like a girl working behind a makeup counter.

Most men prefer the look of a woman’s face after she has just gotten out of the shower. Makeup gets on a man’s face, in his mouth if he kisses her, and it comes off on his clothes. So adding even more to your face is just a mistake. On a further note, if a man professes to liking you, but he tends to keep himself a few feet away, it is because you are wearing too much perfume.

Foundation that runs when she sweats

A light powdering is all a woman needs. There is nothing worse than looking at zits that have been covered with clumps of foundation. Men are not so stupid that they cannot see a powdery lump on your face. If you have a zit, then just live with it, because he is going to notice it no matter what you do.

What is worse is when a woman puts on too much and then goes for a walk, or is caught in the rain, and it starts to migrate. This is where it starts to run but on a very slow scale so that it causes little foundation lines. To a man, it just looks weird.

Lipstick on her teeth

Have you ever been on a date with a guy and he has a bit of food or sauce in the corner of his mouth, but he doesn’t notice it. That “eew” feeling you get is the same one he gets when he sees there is lipstick on your teeth. Imagine a man with toothpaste around his mouth, and now picture him talking to you…not nice is it? That is the same feeling he gets when he is talking to you and there is lipstick on your teeth.

Fake tan makes women look strange

It can be done so that a man would never know you have fake tan on, but it is a difficult thing to get right. If you get it wrong then men tend to wonder why you look strange. Most men are not effeminate enough to know about fake tans and/or realize that a fake tan is the reason you look strange. If the guy is a metrosexual, then he will probably realize that you are wearing a bad splattering of fake tan, and will probably laugh at you with his strictly platonic girl friends.

Visible foundation lines on the face and neck

Man and women alike, will laugh at a woman who wears lots of foundation, but then misses her neck or the back of her cheeks. She usually looks like she has been in a wind tunnel with a bag of crunched up Cheetos. Most people are mystified as to why women wear so much and then leave visible lines, but most are mystified as to why nobody ever tells them they look ridiculous.

Clumps of mascara if you have not been crying

Men will not tend to care if your mascara has clumped because you are crying. And, if he is the reason you are crying, then it will be the last thing on his mind. The problem comes when the man is interested in the woman. He has to look into her eyes a lot (he wants to anyway), but he is going to notice that you have clumps of mascara on your eyelashes. Men tend to be quite matter of fact about this, and will start to avoid looking you in the eyes. Otherwise, he will put up with the clumps and make a mental note to try to bring it up with you one day.

If you wear too much then it often transfers onto your eyelid. A confident man will probably wipe it off or tell you about it. An unconfident man (or a guy you hardly know) will just be irritated by it.

Eyeliner that goes beyond the eye

This is still a popular thing for some women to do. They draw on their eyelids with eyeliner (in the normal fashion) but then go beyond the tear duct. This looks pretty cool when rock superstars do it, but for regular women in the street it just looks silly. The trouble is that many women think it looks great, and other women will tell them that it draws attention to their eyes.

It does, but from a man’s point of view, it is not good attention. He doesn’t want to have to explain to his friends why his girlfriend is trying to make her eyes look like a cats.

In conclusion

Remember that many of your makeup tips are given by people who want to sell makeup. For a man, less is more. There was a very short lived trend in the early Noughties know as “Chic Lesbian makeup,” which involved using makeup but making it look as if you had none on. Men loved it, and when it was done right, it looked as if the woman had a naturally perfect face. Sadly, it died off when the “Sex and the City” TV show went off the air in 2004.

Try to remember that most men do not even like makeup. Most men would prefer you to look the way you look right after a shower. Plus let’s face it, if you cannot be happy with the way you look, no amount of makeup is going to make you feel any better. Use it to “highlight” your beauty, not hide what you think is your ugliness. College-Paper.org that helps students achieves their academic goals.

Parathyroid Problems: Know The Signs And Symptoms

You’re just not you. You know it. You can feel it.
But as hard as you fight it, any effort to reverse what’s going on is futile unless you’re able to broach it head-on. And the only way to do that is to know what, exactly, you’re dealing with.
That’s why it’s so important for you to understand the signs and symptoms of parathyroid problems. They’re tricky, and can often be puzzling to victims and doctors. But there are a number of telltale signs of parathyroid problems.

Here are some of them.
Bone Problems
This doesn't necessarily have to be full-on osteoporosis. But if your bones are feeling weaker and more frail than usual, whether or not you had any sort of such preexisting medical condition, it’s totally possible that a parathyroid problem is to blame.
This is because your parathyroid is very important in your body’s ability to harness and utilize many of the nutrients responsible for top bone health: calcium, magnesium and vitamin D. Without them, your body isn't able to support your skeletal structure the way it needs to, and you start to feel it – fast.
Again, your issue may not necessarily have gotten so bad as to become osteoporosis. But just because it doesn't fit the medical classification doesn’t mean that the same exact thing isn’t happening to a lesser degree. In fact, that’s probably what’s going on.
Over time, if your body isn't able to properly support itself the way that it needs to, the bones tend to hollow out. Even if this is in its most preliminary stages, that doesn't mean that it can’t be problematic – and that doesn't mean you won’t notice. The good news is, no matter where along the road you've caught your parathyroid and consequent bone problems, their effects are reversible. But not without first knowing what you’re dealing with.

Poor Sleep Quality
This might be one of the most frustrating signs and symptoms of a problematic parathyroid: you just can’t sleep like you used to.
Sleep is so integral to nearly every bodily process – and crucial for every person no matter their profession. Writers need sleep for their creativity. Athletes need sleep for their muscles. Teachers need sleep for their patience.
No matter the person or profession, sleep is an absolute must.
Take it away, and people start to get upset.
Parathyroid problems can be such a sleep stealer. That’s because the parathyroid is critical to some of the hormone production that’s responsible for helping you get restful sleep. That’s right, your body releases hormones when you go under that tell you to stay there, nestled in bed, counting sheep. Throw that system off-kilter, and there are likely to be consequences. Fortunately, it’s a relatively easy one to get back on track – so long as you know where to realign the rails and get the train rolling again.

Thinning Hair
This is a particular area of sensitivity for women, though men tend to get pretty bummed out about accelerated baldness too. For women, their hair is often one of the most central components of their appearance. Think about it. They spend just as much time doing their hair, which could be described as stuff that just sort of hangs from your scalp, as they do making up their face, which could be best described as basically everything you find attractive in a woman.
This is how women value hair. Imagine how they feel to lose it.
It’s not hard, though, to imagine how they’ll feel when they get these things back.

Riiviva Reviews - Latest Skin Care Product

Skin Resurfacing with Riiviva

Today, there are many women who find themselves caking on more makeup than ever before because they are unhappy with the way their skin looks. If you are one of these people, there is a good chance that you are looking for a better alternative. The good news for you is that there is a healthier alternative known to us as microdermabrasion. Riiviva offers a great microdermabrasion kit that you can use in your own home. It is much more affordable than treatments in a spa and you will be able to control the treatments yourself. Here is what you should know.

How Microdermabrasion Works

The elasticity and glow of your skin is caused, in large part, by the collagen it contains. Microdermabrasion stimulates the skin to produce more of its naturally-occurring collagen. It also improves the look of your skin by removing the old, dead skin cells that lye on the surface of the skin, giving it a dull, worn out look. The diamond-tipped wand of the Riiviva Microdermabrasion system gently scrubs the loose skin cells free while simultaneously stimulating the lower layers of skin, causing these lower layers to produce collagen. Because the microdermabrasion system is non-invasive – it doesn’t enter  the skin, it only stays on the top layers. The first thing you should know about using a Riiviva kit is that you will be doing the microderm yourself. You will not have to travel to the spa for the treatments. You will also be able to control the treatments. This means that you will choose how coarse the microderm tip is and how strong the suction is as well.

Using the System at Home

You will want to use the microderm tool and run it over your skin. It will loosen up dead skin cells and vacuum them up as it goes along.  You can run the tool over your skin two to three times in one treatment, depending on how rough your skin is. It is always a good idea for you to start out with the gentlest tip on your tool until your skin builds up a tolerance for the treatment. You can then start to use the coarser tips and stronger suction.

More Cost Effective than Having it Done in a Spa

The great thing about using the Riiviva microderm kit is that it is actually really affordable. You will see that a few treatments at a spa will cost you around $800 to $1000. You will be able to purchase a Riiviva kit for less than $400 and do the treatments as often as you like. It will give you results that you are happy with at a fraction of the cost.
Now that you know how you can resurface your skin by using the Riiviva microderm kit, what are you waiting for? You can head online today and purchase one. They come with a 30 day money back guarantee, so if for any reason you are not satisfied, send it back and you will get a full refund with no questions asked. Riiviva really will be the answer to all your skincare prayers.

4 Tips for Getting a Beautiful Smile

1. Brighten with the Right Diet
When you think of a beautiful smile, you probably envision white, bright, straight teeth. But how do you get such a bright smile? One of the first places to start is your diet. The foods you eat not only play a role in your weight and overall health, but are a major component of oral health. Thus, it is important to pay attention to what you are consuming. For brighter teeth and a more beautiful smile, avoid dark drinks (e.g. coffee, soda, and teas) and focus on eating foods like celery, cheese, milk (and other dairy products), and food low in sugar. Sugar is a major culprit of tooth decay as the bacteria that builds up in your mouth feeds off of it. Therefore, the less sugar you eat, the healthier your smile.

2. Brush and Floss Regularly
Your diet can only go so far in keeping your smile bright and white and happy. Make sure you are brushing twice daily and flossing at least once a day. This will prevent excessive plaque buildup on your teeth, which leads to cavities, tooth decay, and gum disease. Not to mention no one likes looking at someone smiling when they have nasty gunk between their teeth. By maintaining good oral hygiene from the start, you can avoid inconvenient (and painful) dental procedures later.

3. Straighten Out Good hygiene can take you only so far.
If you suffer from crooked or jagged teeth, your smile will suffer for it too. Consult your dentist and orthodontist about your options. If you don’t want to go the traditional route with braces, there are also other less visually obtrusive options like Invisalign braces and retainers. For severe tooth problems, like broken or missing teeth, you may need more serious work done, such as dental implants or oral surgery.

4. Get Luscious Lips
Your teeth aren’t the only factors creating a beautiful smile. Be sure to take care of your lips. Regularly use lip balm that includes SPF to protect against harmful UV rays. Further, apply tips and tricks to create the illusion of fuller, richer lips. To get that fuller look, lip plumper is a popular cosmetic product. Packaged in the form of gloss, balm, or stick, lip plumpers temporarily “plump” the lips, giving you that coveted “sexy pout” look. Traditionally, it works by irritating your lips with natural ingredients like cinnamon, ginger mint, or capsicum (found in hot peppers).

These spices naturally increase blood flow to the lips, which results in mild swelling and redness. With brighter teeth and more luscious lips, you are well on your way to a fuller, more beautiful smile. Weight Loss Types

Weight loss in terms of medical concepts is a reduction of the total body mass, it happens due to loss of fluid, body fat and adipose tissue and lean mass namely muscles, bone mineral deposits, tendon and other connective tissues. It can occur unintentionally because of an underlying disease or can arise from a conscious effort to improve an actual or obese state.

Types of Weight Loss

Weight loss can occur in two ways:
1. Intentional
2. Unintentional

Intentional Weight Loss
Intentional weight occurs due to the loss of total body mass as a result of the hard work to improve fitness and health of the body.
Obese or overweight individuals due to weight loss can decrease health risks, improve their fitness and delay the onset of diabetes. Individuals suffering from osteoarthritis, by weight loss can move freely and reduce pain in their knees.
Intentional weight loss is achieved with the help of diet control and taking physical exercises. Various dietary strategies have been planned to fulfill the needs of individuals to lose excess weight. Calorie-restriction plans are one of the best dietary procedures. Regular calorie intake of an individual may vary depending on the factors such as age, gender and weight-loss aims.

Unintentional Weight Loss
Unintentional or unexplained weight loss can be a symptom of an underlying medical disorder. Your body weight depends upon the calorie consumption, overall health, nutrition, age, nutrient absorption as well as other factors. Unexplained weight loss of 10 pounds or more than that should be properly investigated.

Unexpected weight loss can occur due to some medical disorders listed below:
  1. Cancer: A sudden and significant loss of weight in a person should be assessed for an unknown cancer, in case if no other cause is evident. Patients of cancer produce cachectin and interleukins substances that cause weight loss. Increased metabolism may be responsible for weight loss in patients suffering from blood cancer.
  2. Hormonal disorder: This is the common cause of weight loss. Conditions such as hyperthyroidism increase the metabolic function due to which unexpected weight loss occurs.
  3. Infection or inflammation: Infections accompanied by a decrease in appetite and calorie intake are commonly associated with weight loss because of increase in metabolic rate. Many infections such as lung abscess, fungal diseases, HIV and subacute bacterial endocarditis causes unexpected weight loss.
  4. Neurological disorder: Brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease as well as Alzheimer’s disease cause irregular eating due to which weight loss occurs.
  5. Heart problems: Cardiovascular diseases result in decreased craving for food and increased metabolic rate. Patients of severe congestive heart failure make substances in the blood known as cytokines that also leads to unintentional weight loss.
  6. Lung diseases: Apart from lung infections, conditions such as severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are also related to weight loss. Symptoms of lung disease should be checked out in a patient with weight loss.
  7. Kidney diseases: Kidney diseases are also related to weight loss because of protein loss in the urine and the associated nausea as well as vomiting.
Conclusion
Change in your regular diet and doing exercise reduces weight. Intentional weight loss is not a matter of concern. But a sudden weight loss requires full medical attention. Sometimes you may develop diseases and the symptoms are often hidden, as a result unexpected weight loss occurs. Consult your physician to get proper treatment.

Side Effects Of Low Testosterone

Low Testosterone Side Effects

The natural function of aging is why men experience a decrease of testosterone levels. There are over thirteen million men with low levels of testosterone. Past the age of thirty there is an annual one percent dip in the level of testosterone according to the American Diabetes Association (ADA).

What does the decrease of this hormone mean? What are the side effects or symptoms that go with the loss of this male hormone? There are a number of important bodily functions that testosterone helps men to maintain, including:
  • Bone density
  • Distribution of fat
  • Strength/muscle mass
  • Production of sperm
  • Sex drive
  • Production of red blood cells
There can be significant emotional and physical changes as a result of the testosterone decrease because it affects so many functions.

Sexual Function

The possibility of sexual desire and performance being affected is one of the largest worries faced by men when the levels of testosterones start to decrease. When men age, they can have a number of symptoms resulting from a lower level of the hormone that are related to sexual function. These include:
  • Desire for sex declining
  • Infertility
  • Fewer spontaneous erections such as while sleeping

Physical Changes

Low testosterone levels accompany a number of physical shifts including:
  • Fragile bones
  • A decrease in body hair
  • Body fat increases
  • Mass of muscles/strength decrease
  • Hot flashes
  • Breast tissue tenderness/swelling
  • Effects on cholesterol & metabolism
  • Fatigue

Disturbances in Sleep

Low testosterone causes lower energy levels but despite this it can lead to changes in the patterns of sleep including insomnia. Sleep apnea, a serious problem that causes repeated stopping and starting of breathing, can result from some of the therapies for treating low testosterone.

Emotional Changes

You can be affected emotionally as well as experiencing physical changes resulting from low testosterone levels. There can be feelings of depression, sadness or overall decrease in the sense of well-being from the condition. Some people experience lowered self-confidence, lack of motivation and difficulty with concentrating and memory.

Don’t Assume

Lower levels of testosterone can result in all of the above symptoms but they also go with the process of aging. There are other reasons for these symptoms including:
  • Use of alcohol
  • Medication side effects
  • A thyroid condition
Make an appointment with your physician and have a blood test to determine the cause of your symptoms. The levels of testosterone can only be determined by a blood test. The midpoint of the normal testosterone range is 300 to 450 ng/dl (nanograms per deciliter) for men over the age of 65 and is what the recommendation of the Harvard Medical School (HMS) is.
All of these changes can take a toll on you. Continuing to lead an active lifestyle or starting an active lifestyle with some dietary changes can make a big difference in the way you feel. It will not “cure” you but along with a prescribed medication, you should be feeling like your old self in no time.

Get Your Skin Ready For Summer

It’s finally summer. After being cooped up all winter and avoiding the wet spring, you mostly likely have travel plans booked and your suitcase packed. You might be ready, but is your skin? What tips do you need to get you through summer with a flawless complexion?

Sun Protection

Protect skin with sunscreen. The sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays is the one of the biggest reasons why we get pre-mature wrinkles and uneven skin. Sun breaks down collagen and elastin, which gives skin strength and flexibility. Don’t wear down your complexion before summer has even started. Rebound from the sun’s rays by using a sunscreen product.

A broad-spectrum labeled sunscreen will protect against both skin damaging UVB rays and UVA rays. You can never go wrong purchasing skin-care and cosmetic products containing sunscreen. Use sunscreen if you know you’ll be out in the sun, especially for an extended period of time. The actions you take now will have your skin thanking you later.

Trade In Winter Moisturizers

Summer is the time to transition your heavier, thicker products to something lighter. Thick creams used during winter are too heavy for the warm weather. Heavy moisturizers trap dead skin cells on the surface, leaving your complexion dull and not very summer-like.

Who wouldn’t want a brighter, healthier complexion? The best moisturizer to use during the warmer months is a lightweight one that will hydrate without leaving skin greasy. Acquire a moisturizer that is a gel or a gel/cream combination and will compliment your skin type. People with dry skin need a product with glycerin, which will attract moisture. Anyone with sensitive and/or acne prone skin will do best with products that are fragrance-free and non-comedogenic.

Exfoliating for Summer Skin

Regardless of the time of year, exfoliation is important in skin-care. Exfoliating frees pores from being blocked by dead skin cells. This improves the appearance of skin and better prepares it to absorb moisturizers and other beauty products. Exfoliate on a regular basis to even out pigmentation for newer, healthier-looking, spot-free skin.

Use an exfoliating cleanser or an exfoliating treatment product. A clean, damp washcloth is another tool you can use as well. Apply your cleanser to the washcloth and gently use it to wash skin. Your face will unbelievably soft and smooth, and look and feel revitalized.

Remember the Basics

Give new products time to work. If you’re one of those people who runs out to the drugstore to buy a new product days before a trip, you’re doing skin a disservice. When you fail to give products an adequate amount of time to work, you don’t see results. New skin cells need time to reach to reach the surface of skin. This is why you don’t seem an immediate difference in texture, tone, or clarity following the use of a new product.

Plan ahead by purchasing a new product well in advance. Skin needs time to adjust and the ingredients need time to work. Give regular skin-care products up to a month and even longer for products with anti-aging properties. Remember to be well-informed about the products you purchase. Know what’s going on skin to avoid unwanted irritation. We can all agree red, irritated skin is not the best way to start a summer vacation.

Start prepping now to get skin ready for summer adventures. No matter where you’re going or what you’re doing, protect it from the sun. Go lighter on products like moisturizers so skin can breathe. Exfoliate on a regular basis to maintain a healthy complexion, even out skin tone and encourage products to work better. Most importantly, follow skin-care basics, which will yield a beautiful, glowing, summer complexion. Katy Corbin has tried just about everything when it comes to skin care and her favorite products are from DorMauri.com.
